One Good Men's Vitamin

First I want to say I don't have a sales agreement to sale this product for a commission although they should call me up. With the reading of various books seeking the keys to a healed and healthy body, I ran across this vitamin. What vitamin you say? Vitamin Code Raw One for Men.

Before taking this vitamin my energy levels were low. I Owe You An Apology Andrew Zimmern

Mr. Zimmern I have watched you on the Travel Channel (Bizarre Foods) traveling around the world searching for exotic cuisine dining experiences. I have seen you devour meat from the head of animals as well as eat the parts of animals that just ain't kosher to eat but wait!

Who am I to talk having ate all the hot dogs and sausage dogs that I've ate. Do you know the ingredients used in a delicious hot dog or sausage dog? Casing for this delicious treats? Sometimes good ole sheep intestines. Oh by the way hot dogs are in liquid form when injected into the casing. How bout that thought drinking a hot dog. If my memory serves me correctly on ingredients, I remember reading about beef hearts, pork hearts and a number of other items I tried to forget about when I ate my hot dog.

So what am I trying to say...Hell I ate some of the same disgusting things you have and liked it too.

Cooked or Be Cooked? I think your cooked

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (Nov. 3, 2009) – Hungry? Wish you knew how to whip up the perfect T-bone steak, or maybe just a quick pasta with meat balls? Good news. Leading video games developer and publisher NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., announced today that Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked is now available at retail stores throughout North America for Wii™. Developed in partnership with Food Network, the first cable network dedicated to the power and joy of food, players can now learn the real, practical skills needed to cook more than 30 mouth-watering Food Network-worthy recipes. http://www.gamerevolution.com/screen/wii/food-network-cook-or-be-cooked

Now maybe its me but I don't think cook or be cooked is going to be a big hit in the gaming world. I wonder who exactly was the game developers trying to target? Loyal Food Network Watchers who happen to have a Wii? Hardcore gamers who would definitely have a Wii? Maybe Guy Fieri while playing with his Wii said to himself, "Dude there outta be a cooking game and I should be in it and that would be kewl". No matter where the idea came from....it should have stayed on the drawing board.

Don't listen to me, let's see how the gaming world feel about it.

Modes: Bad
Graphics: Good
Sound: Good
Control and Gameplay: Poor
Replayability: Bad
Balance: Poor
Originality: Mediocre
Addictiveness: Decent
Appeal Factor: Poor
Miscellaneous: Bad
FINAL SCORE: BELOW AVERAGE GAME! DieHardGameFan.com

There are more of these types of reviews but I figured one was plenty.

Oh well you buy it for Christmas and come back and tell me if I'm wrong.

Jeff Corwin - Food Network?

I like Jeff Corwin, he was pretty cool doing his animal planet deal. He added flavor to his show with his humor, quick witt and vast knowledge of the animal kingdom (bachelor of science degrees in biology and anthropology; a master of science in wildlife and fisheries conservation and doing work on bats and snakes).

My question becomes how do you go from Animal Planet to the Food Network? From a vast knowledge of the animal kingdom to talking about the texture and consistency of food? Jeff were you already eating the succulent meats from the forbidden parts of animals off camera and decided to be the Andrew Zimmern of the Food Network? The average person would not be so ready to eat a cow head taco as in the video below. The pay must be GOOD!

In any case, you aright and you are funny I will continue to check you out as long as something else ain't on. Call me when you get a chance!

Dinner Impossible - WWE - Mission On The Mat

I gave up Ultimate Fighter to watch Dinner Impossible WWE Mission On The Mat. OK I caught Ultimate Fighter as it was replayed after Dinner Impossible went off. If I had to really choose between the two I would have watched Ultimate Fighter trying to catch DI between commercials.

Any how it was interesting as they had some of the wrestlers come in to help do some of the prep work. The Miz, Gail Kim, J.R., Santino fumbled around in the kitchen with a little scuffle between The Miz and Santino (it was kinda funny). Got to give it to Chef Robert Irvine he did a pose flexing his' "guns" before Santino that left even Santino impressed. Side Note: Irvine was selected as one of the "25 Fittest Guys in America" by Men's Fitness magazine in 2007. He's probably got a trailer set up on location where he goes and pumps when he's not in a scene or excuse me "I gotta got to the bathroom then goes and grabs a dumbell in the trailer".

I remember when The Miz was on a WWE show (which name I forget back in the day) of wanna be wrestlers that had to go through a series of training to win a entry contract. If my memory serves me correctly he lost but I guess his persistence paid off.

Sum it all up the food when finished look great and I wished I was one ot the WWE VIPs that got the opportunity to enjoy it.

Show synopsis:
Robert is taken to the mat as he joins up with some of World Wrestling Entertainment Superstars at Summer Slam, WWE's biggest summertime event. Stephanie McMahon gives Robert his mission to feed 300 WWE VIPs a "Superstar" meal in just nine hours, this means every dish he creates must be based on some of WWE's Superstars' signature moves such as Frog Splash, Clawhold, and Knife Edge Chop. Stephanie is center ring joined by her seven foot tall, 400 pound "enforcer", Big Show, who's there to make sure Robert knows that failure is not an option!

Acai Berries, Superfoods and Stuff

Acai Berries. The first I ever heard of Acai was when I was reading about some dudes that took a trip to Hawaii (don't quote me on the location) and was amazed by the fruit and decided to bring some back with them to start developing products from the fruit. Months later after reading the article, I notice Acai being put into different type of juice drinks so I went on to buy one to see how it tasted. Well it had a different taste, no bad but different.

In my search to incorporate my organic foods including superfoods, live foods and whatever else I can find to help improve my health, Acai is back on my radar. I can't say I am a big Oprah fan but whatever doctor that was on her show (Dr. Perricone) says that Acai makes No.1 on his list of superfoods. Here's a link to the article http://www.oprah.com/article/health/nutrition/life_acai

My Apology to Anthony Bourdain - I Watched Emeril Live

In an earlier post I jumped on Anthony Bourdain from No Reservations, a show which I like, about his ripping on the Food Network. Tony I am sorry. I am very sorry.

I got up a little earlier than normal this morning did some channel surfing and ended up on Emeril Live on the Food Network. Wow! Firstly, his chef's jacket looked like it was squeezing the tomato sauce out of him and if he bent over he would fart or something. Secondly, the show was just plain boring! He had the audience and a band and all but it still sucked!

Emeril give me a call I got some ideas for you! Live music is always cool. Make sure the band is hot and playing some music that makes the audience wanna get up and dance. If they want to let em! Buy a bigger chef jacket so you can crank out a step or two. Get your audience involved in your cooking. Call some hotties down and let them help you cook or something. Of course cook food for the audience and give away prizes maybe expensive bottles of wine or gift certificates to your restaurant. Call me man!!!

Chopped 11-10-09

I enjoy watching Chopped (on the food network). I guess to some degree I enjoy seeing chefs being critiqued harshly to which I would like to send that shout out to all the jackass chefs I worked under in my restaurant days.

1.) Now that I got that out of my system, seems to me the obvious first chef to be chopped is the personal vegan chef (I need a personal chef gotta get me one) she was more lost than foodstar101 trying to play polo on a horse. I was correct!

2.) Don't be a flashy chef with all the fancy fast chopping and fire-works on the stove and deliver burnt food to a judge. I think its safe to say that over confidence will eventually bite you in your (insert body part here). He was chopped....I was right!! Executive Chefs with lots of years of experience tend to over rate themselves.

3.) Lack of honor and respect is another way to get your (insert body part here) bit. I was right again!!! The young sous chef put up a awesome showing having the least amount of experience and no culinary school training.

So what am I ultimately trying to say? I think it is way cool how someone can just give a person some surprise ingredients and 30 minutes and that person can create a meal that looks and taste great. I am impressed with that skill!

Andrew Zimmern - Bizarre World One Thing He likes One Thing He Hates

I like watching Andrew Zimmern - Bizarre World - Travel Channel. Why? I guess I want to know exactly what he will eat and what he will not eat. One thing I have come to learn is its not a matter of what he will and will not eat because he will put everything he encounters in his mouth.

The question is what does he like? There has not been a lot of things he does not like as long as I have been watching. He loves the cheek and head meat of pigs and lambs as well as bull ball soup.

I was shocked to see him in Russia dining on dried pickled lamprey (Lampreys are parasitic marine animals known for boring into the flesh of other fish to suck their blood) and found it disgusting. Did I witness history? He redeemed himself as he enjoyed the bear patty that was served as his next course. How does he stomach all that crap?

Anthony Bourdain Filp Flop Food Network Oxymoron

Hey Anthony Bourdain (No Reservation - The Travel Channel) I dig you and all but what's with the comment I keep hearing you make from time to time about the Food Network? For instance, on your show you were in Puerto Rico watching a Pro Boxer work out. You were contemplating getting into the ring with him and you said it couldn't be any worst than having been on the Food Network for 2 years and having your brain turned to mush. Then you get into the ring with flip flops on and boxed like a girl!

What's up with That?!

Culinary School Would Be Cool

I have been in a variety of schools for a variety of reasons. School for engineering, school for computer programming, and even school for business. Not that I am eager to go back to school but culinary school seems like it would be kinda cool.

I have worked in the restaurant industry for around 10 years and worked with a bunch of different chefs. I worked as a pantry cook, waiter, did some minor cooking and catering work. Not all the chefs I worked with had their "papers" i.e. went to culinary school or finished school but they were all very talented. With the cool chefs, I would become their buddy so they would feed me and I would be the first one to try new dishes. Man I missed the good ole days! The not so cool chefs were pure jackasses...

I just think it would be fun to know how to cook fancy food on a whim and look cool doing it like

Iron Chef Morimoto

Go back to school....naw!!!
P.S. His name just sound cool saying it

Simple Organic Asparagus Recipe

Well with the incorporation of more vegetables in my new diet, asparagus came knocking on the memory banks of my mind. I am no stranger to asparagus, back in the day when I was working in a posh restaurant I would grab some throw them in the steamer or toss some on the grill add some butter and salt and be good to go. Those were the days but I have no steamer or grill in my kitchen to work that magic.

Wondering around on the net (thanks hubpages) I found this simple and delicious asparagus recipe which I used organic ingredients.

Quick Roasted Asparagus
  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Dump (organic) asparagus spears on baking tray
  3. Drizzle with plenty of (virgin) olive oil
  4. Toss asparagus spears to coat in olive oil
  5. Spread them out on baking tray evenly
  6. Sprinkle sea salt (or kosher salt) on asparagus
  7. Grind pepper over aspargus
  8. Sprinkle bits of (organic) chopped garlic over asparagus
  9. Stick in the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes

I usually let them cook until the asparagus is sizzling in the oil and there's a bit of browning. If you like yours a little crisper, you can take them out after they've turned bright green.

Once they are out of the oven, you can squeeze some (organic) lemon on them or shred some (I didn't try the rest of these suggestions but will next go round) parmesan cheese over them or sprinkled some balsamic vinaigrette or caesar dressing.

Can't get no simpler that that!

Food Network...Where's The Organic Food Show?

Do to my ailment I have found the need to incorporate organic food into my diet. After doing my research I have been educated on how bad all the processed foods are from meats to vegetables and if you want to prevent and rid yourself of disease you need to eat organic foods.

Ok that's cool with me. So after a grocery trip to the local Earth Fare store (which is a very nice store) I discovered something. 1.) Hardly anyone was in the store which I thought was odd, 2.) The prices were jaw dropping! I told my fiance, honey don't put another thing in the shopping basket. I asked her "how much do you think we have in he basket?". She replied maybe $50. The cashier scanned everything through and said, "that will be $105.10 please". I said "what!". I didn't even have enough food for 3 complete meals. I didn't even have any vegetables! What the crap!!!

Anyway, Food Network my question to you is where is the organic food show. You got all kinds of people doing all kinds of stuff but I need an "Organic on a Budget Show!" I appreciate Sandra's Money Saving Meals. She's cute and all and is always on point. I dig it but I need some Organic Help! I need some quick organic meals and some money saving organic meals. Surely I ain't the only one that thinks this way!

I Like The Food Network, Andrew Zimmern, and Anthony Bourdain

I was never really a Food Network Channel viewer. I'm a dude, you know, who like football, the UFC and etc. definitely not a cooking show type of guy. I must admit I did enjoy man vs. food with Adam Richman on occasion. My fiance loves the Food Network and her favorite show is Down Home with the Neelys. So without a doubt the day would come where I would be forced to sit down and watch this culinary channel.

What makes this story more interesting is that a few months ago I became sick and found myself house bound. With very limited options, I watched and am watching lots of TV with the Food Network being one of my favorite channels. Not only have I found a liking for that channel but I discovered Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain (different channel but its still food).

Well, in any case I found a new love for food and I want to talk about it!
